30-year Master Plan Update: 2015 – 2045; Henry County Water System

ESI performed the update of the 2007 Henry County Water Authority’s 30-year Water and Wastewater Master Plans. The updated plans cover the years 2015 through 2045 and are being used to update the Authority’s Capital Improvements Plan in 5-year increments.

  • Water Supply and Treatment – Performed population and water usage/demand projection update; evaluated selected water supply and treatment options; evaluated capacity of existing water treatment facilities.
  • Pumping Stations and Bulk Storage – Evaluated capacity of existing pumping stations and bulk storage.
  • Elevated Storage – Evaluated capacity of existing elevated storage tanks.
  • Distribution System Improvements – Evaluated the needs of the transmission and distribution systems, depending heavily on the calibrated hydraulic model owned by HCWA.
  • Pressure Management Strategies – Reviewed the 2013 HCWA Water Efficiency Management Strategy and Action Plan and prepared impartial estimates of expected savings through reduction in demand that could be obtained with a pressure management program.
  • Non-revenue Water Reduction – Prepared impartial estimates of expected reduction in demand and savings that could be obtained with non-revenue water reduction measures.
  • Residential Meter Upgrades – Prepared impartial estimates of expected reduction in demand and savings that could be obtained with meter replacement program; developed a needs list with a recommended schedule for implementation.
